TRANSPORTATION Program

Our transportation program offers Dial-a-Ride service in Baker City. You will need to call for your bus ride at least two hours in advance to reserve a ride.

The bus operates Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Fares: Seniors and People with Disabilities - $ 1.00 each way

Unaccompanied Children under 12 yrs - $1.25 each way

General Public - $ 1.75 each way

 

 

Mondays and Thursdays -

Bus between Halfway and Richland. Fare - $3 Round Trip

Wednesdays - Round trip to and From Baker City. Fare $ 5 round trip

Lv Halfway - 8:00 a.m. , return from Baker City - 2:00 p.m.

Other Outlying Communities

Our system can provide rides from Huntington, Haines, and Sumpter, on an on-call basis. You will need to call three days ahead to schedule a ride.

We are working on developing a regular route between Baker City and Sumpter. Please contact us if you will use that service.

We provide rides to medical appointments throughout the state. This is done by contract with Oregon Department of Human Services, for qualified people on the Oregon Health Plan Plus.

Special Evening & Weekend Shuttle Service

The purpose of the Special Shuttle is to provide transportation for mobility impaired persons who are unable to use other regular public transportation. Additionally, clients of the Dept. of Human Services may qualify based on Program Eligibility. Contact Community Connection to obtain an application form, or for more information.

Shuttle Hours:

Monday through Friday, 5 pm to 8:30 pm

Saturdays: 11am to 3 pm

Sundays: 8:30am to 12:30pm
